Peter Morrell
Head of Music

Peter has a lifelong love for Music and, growing up, was classically trained in piano, singing and violin. He graduated with first-class honours in Music from City, University of London, specialising in jazz singing at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, whilst fronting his rock band in the nightclubs at weekends.

Over the past twenty years, Peter has performed to audiences worldwide including at home in London and abroad in Europe, South Korea and twice in the USA. Before joining Kairos, Peter spent five years directing his startup, Sound Foundations Music, teaching piano, singing, violin and pipe organ to children and adults of all ages and abilities. Aside from this, he was the Director of Music at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, New Malden, leading mixed ability choirs in traditional Catholic liturgical music. His playful teaching style interweaves traditional Music theory with multi-sensory materials, to make Music instantly accessible and fantastically fun.  Peter is a qualified Montessori Assistant and Good Shepherd Catechist. He enjoys dance, gardening and splashing around in the sea.

Peter reflects our ambition as a School to excel in music, and our belief that a strong music programme is the touchstone of a joyful living School culture, by offering an artistic expression for every facet of School life, including academics, cultural discovery, performance, faith and sports.
