Maria Borges

Lower Elementary Portuguese specialist & Music and Drama assistant

Maria graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Languages, Literatures and Cultures, at the School of Arts and Humanities, University of Lisbon.

Second of five children, Maria was always encouraged to be curious and to care for others. Wanting to be of service, she volunteered to become a catechist in her parish and so discovered her love for working with children and adolescents, and now also directs the children’s choir. She has also been tutoring Portuguese language and literature students for the past two years.

Maria writes and recites poetry, loves to embroider and learn foreign languages and reads every book she can get her hands on.
