Collette Yeh
Upper Elementary Guide

Collette has a background in psychology and began her career in education while teaching English in Taiwan, originally as a means to travel throughout Asia. During this time, she discovered a deep passion for teaching and working with children. Upon returning to South Africa, she completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and commenced her teaching journey in a youth correctional facility established by Nelson Mandela. Her career later took her to Botswana, where she taught at an International Baccalaureate (IB) school, before returning once again to Taiwan to teach in a government school programme.

Her interest in Montessori education was sparked while searching for a suitable school for her son in Taiwan. This led her to an AMI Montessori school in Taichung, where she quickly became an active member of the community and was subsequently invited to join the staff. Encouraged by the head of school to pursue formal Montessori training, she was delighted to find that the AMI 6–12 training was being offered for the first time in her hometown in South Africa. Following her qualification, Collette took on the roles of lead guide and head of department.

She is now pleased to bring her international experience and deep commitment to Montessori philosophy to Kairos.
