Allan Yeh
Upper Elementary Guide

I was born in Taiwan and at the age of eleven emigrated to South Africa, where my family established a knitwear factory. After studying Commerce and Technical Drawing, I ran my own business for over a decade. Twenty years ago, I married Collette Yeh, and together we have devoted ourselves to Montessori education.

My Montessori journey began when our son attended an AMI Montessori school in Taiwan at the age of three. Volunteering in his classroom and translating workshops deepened my understanding of the pedagogy. Later, when Collette pursued her AMI 6–12 training in South Africa, I supported her work and was formally appointed as an Upper Elementary assistant.

I have since completed AMI Assistant training as well as coursework in Classroom Management, Positive Discipline, and Montessori Mathematics and Geometry. I am passionate about helping children develop confidence, independence, and practical life skills through hands-on learning.

Faith and timing have now brought us to Kairos Montessori School in Portugal, where I serve as an Upper Elementary assistant alongside Collette as lead guide, contributing to a community dedicated to nurturing each child’s unique potential.
